Questions people ask
Who does the work?
An independent local insulation installer performs the work and gives you the price. We take your call, get the details and set up the quote, but we do not insulate buildings ourselves.
Does calling here cost extra?
No. There is no fee for the call and no markup on the job. You pay the normal price on the written quote.
What is the difference between open-cell and closed-cell foam?
Closed-cell is typically denser, stiffer and more resistant to moisture; open-cell is typically softer and lighter. Which fits depends on the space, and we explain the choice and what R-value to expect for your job rather than quote one here.
Does spray foam need to be covered in Wisconsin?
Foam left exposed in an attic, crawl space or living area may need an ignition barrier or thermal barrier. Code depends on the space and your local inspector has the final say, so we raise it when we look at the building rather than guess here.
Is spray foam always better than cellulose or fiberglass?
No. For an open attic floor or an accessible wall cavity, blown cellulose or fiberglass can be the better value, and we tell you when it is.
